Though it often seems a big dragged along when watching it on television, constantly interrupted with advertising which kills the delicate flow of the plot lines, when you rent this series and watch an episode straight through it's nearly impossible to stop! You'll find yourself in front of the tv for hours, pondering the mysteries and insanity of this fun, fun television show. The characters are memorable, varied, and unique.

Best Show on Television, I own both seasons on DVD and cant wait until the third. The show is absolutely brilliant, and is the best show EVER to be on television, and truly will be a crowning achievement.

Awesome to start with but then I got so confused by all the mini plots and other stuff I got annoyed and stopped watching. Basically, now it sucks. Was a huge fan for a while though.

LOST is the best show on television right now, and possibly ever. Not getting all of the answers is EXACTLY what makes the show great to watch. Wow, a show that makes you THINK, instead of just sitting in front of the tv like a drooling chimpanzee. What a novel concept! My "answers" to the questions are just as good as the writers answers, or as your answers. Just look at the second and third Matrix movies to see how disappointing it can be to actually get fed the answers you are looking for, instead of just being satisfied with your own. If you like entertainment that spurs your imagination, LOST is or you. If your idea of entertainment is turning off your brain and zoning out, or being spoon fed, then this is not for you.

"Lost" is honestly my favorite show on my television right now, and I have seen every episode since the pilot. The first season was truly excellent television; original in its premise (putting a dramatic twist on "Gilligan's Island" and succeeding), brilliant in its writing and directing, and had engaging and exciting characters. As far as series debuts go, "Lost" had one of the best first seasons of all time; comparatively, its first season was better than "Seinfeld's" first season. It's understandable why this show has become a cult phenomenon. With the coming of the second and third seasons, though the quality of the show has slipped slightly (most episodes pale drastically when compared to the pilot), it still retains its excellence with the introduction of new characters and new plot twists, and while drifting away from the original premise of the show on a raft built by a cult following and desperately needed ratings, "Lost" fans will still undoubtedly be pleased.

Excellent, Smart, Genius TV. If you're not watching this show, pick up both Seasons immediately and absorb them like the best candy of your sweetest TV dreams. Catch this show, and you will be apart of TV History that will be talked, discussed, theorized about for many years to come.
