New York Post Linda Stasi
Not only an important series, but a darned good, action-packed one.

Chicago Tribune Sid Smith
"Human Trafficking" manages edge-of-your-seat suspense and an unsettling blend of Dickensian horrors and documentary-style realism.

The New York Times Alessandra Stanley
It is unusually good: a harsh public-service message built into a clever, suspenseful thriller.

Some parts work well; others don't.

Entertainment Weekly Andrew Clevenger
The movie's tone teeters on the edge of self-righteousness, but the glassy-eyed numbness of the enslaved girls is a devastating portrayal of their living nightmare. [28 Oct 2005, p.77]

Newsday Diane Werts
Like many Lifetime productions, this one is designed to make you stand up and take action on a hot-button issue. Unlike many, it's got the dramatic chops to keep you on your feet applauding.

Kansas City Star Aaron Barnhart
It’s a grim two hours... But it’s not overly explicit, and the script and talent are better than most Lifetime films.

Los Angeles Times Paul Brownfield
"Human Trafficking" is at once a sobering, tough-to-watch dramatization about girls taken from the streets of their hometowns around the world and sold into sexual servitude and a clichéd drama about said topic.

Hollywood Reporter Barry Garron
Perhaps inevitably, with all that focus on the educational component, the story gets short shrift.

People Weekly Tom Gliatto
It's an awful story, and it deserves a better production than this. [31 Oct 2005, p.39]

LA Weekly Robert Abele
Rarely rises above the level of cut-and-dried cops-and-bad-guys tale.

Boston Globe Matthew Gilbert
Sorvino is as wooden as can be throughout. Perhaps she didn't connect with her poorly written role; perhaps she's just straining to understate.

Variety
Starring a miscast Mira Sorvino, "Human Trafficking" bludgeons its point home for nearly four hours, and then closes with an honest-to-God speech to ensure that nobody missed it.

Washington Post Tom Shales
Except for a few suspenseful sequences in which women and, occasionally, sympathetic parties try to escape the clutches of the slave traders, the miniseries is muddled, confused and diffuse.

Cathy W. gave it a10:
I loved this show! I've watched it so many times I really enjoy watching it and learning how people are used for trafficking and I want to know how to help.

Johnny B. gave it a10:
I was sickened by the reality of this movie. To think that anyone could treat people, especially children in such a manner. I was a little disappointed at the end for it was unclear to me what the penalty was for the awful people in charge of the human trafficking. It is people like that, that keep me in favor of the death penalty.

melina P. gave it a10:
I was shocked. The film illustrates all there is about human trafficking, demonstrating the raw truth. I found all the cast superb, specially the victims and the bad guys. If you have teenagers show the the movie, it covers all the distanve between knowing what human trafficning is and trully understanding what it is and to what extend it threats youngs people freedom and life. Well done to Lifetime.

jim58pr gave it a10:
I was terrified to watch this movie...it was very hard to do so....very painful....left me a little shaky....The world can be very bad....but there are some people dedicated to making a positive difference.....and this movie in a way is a salute to them.....This importante movie deserves not less than a 10......period.

Shawn D gave it a10:
I am in the Navy, and they made us have mandantory training on trafficking, now I know why, what a great movie, hardcore as it was, it was a reality check. I have a little girl and I can say that you must watch your surroundings and keep your head on a swivel, because this is the real deal, the world is not a pretty place. I salute lifetime for this eye opener....and Boston Globe Matthew Gilbert and Variety show how shallow they are in their reviews, I have been around the world, and they need to get a grip on reality.

Karen S gave it a10:
I have a daughter named Jody Ledkins who dissappeared in 1985, from Kansas City, Mo. The movie was hard, truthful and if people who thinks it will never happen to them., they are wrong. Jody still has not been found and yet someone knows something. I pray every night for my child and others who have been missing. I hope everyone does the right thing and report any suspicious activity. Thank you.

Yilin W gave it a10:
The show was quite good. I was expecting a made for tv drama to be of substandard quality but I was glad to be wrong. This movie truly highlights the nightmare that many people are forced into.
