Call of Duty (N-Gage)

Call of Duty thrusts players to the front lines of combat, as ordinary soldiers fight together as part of a squad through the epic moments of WWII. Call of Duty on the N-Gage platform throws gamers into instant head-to-head combat via multiplayer gaming over Bluetooth wireless technology and allows them to experience the intensity of WWII. Players are also able to battle for top rankings on the N-Gage Arena exclusive leaderboards. [Nokia]

Critic Reviews

90 PGNx Media
The game’s ambition and scope is very impressive. The single-player levels are appropriately dramatic and convey the scale of the PC game well. Rudimentary but functional multiplayer and Arena support round out the package.
80 AceGamez
Don't buy it because you're looking for something new and different - buy it because you're looking for a great shooter.
79 Pelit (Finland)
Too linear and short, but it has a nice atmosphere to it and many enjoyable missions. Poor graphics and moronic companions detract from the experience, though. [Jan. 05]
74 N-Gage World
A reasonable title but the game-play experience just doesn’t match the ambition of its design. In my opinion the game runs a little to slow to be that enjoyable.
66 GameSpot
Unfortunately, this first-person shooter's erratic performance and occasionally buggy gameplay spoil some of the effect.
60 1UP
Makes a mediocre port on the Nokia N-Gage. Underutilizing the N-Gage's graphics abilities, the game itself appears sloppy.
40 GameSpy
The framerate issues and ho-hum AI are just too much of a hurdle for this title to be very enjoyable.
20 Electronic Gaming Monthly
The developers obviously made COD slow down horribly, the A.I. nonexistent, the controls cumbersome, and the game flat-out not fun at part of a blood feud. Try not to get involved. [Holiday 2004, p.142]
20 GamerFeed
Activision seriously messed up with this game, as it's a slow-moving mess that plays bad and looks even worse.
