A mission-based game with puzzle solving elements, Atomic Betty features a three character control scheme that allows players to enjoy all of their favorite characters at once, utilizing their individual skills to save the universe. Betty has a lot more to handle than most little girls. To her friends and family, she is your average, girl-next-door, but when the galaxy beckons, she becomes Atomic Betty, Galactic Guardian and Defender of the Cosmos. With the help of her trusty sidekicks, Sparky and X-5, Betty must save the galaxy from the evil Maximus I.Q., while at the same time saving her reputation on Earth from the scheming of her archrival, Penelope. Atomic Betty’s five playable characters, rocket ship travel, selectable gadgets and weapons, and fast-paced story bring the cartoon hit to life. [Namco]

Next Level Gaming
I was very surprised at the level of ingenuity in this title. It would have been easy to make a sub-standard platformer, slap an Atomic Betty label on it, and call it a game. Instead, we get a character-switching puzzle game, with well thought-out levels and some increasing difficulty.

WHAM! Gaming
Much like the distinctive homegrown television series, Atomic Betty's sophomore GBA venture is screwball, carefree fun at its very best and a tribute to how far the Canadian gaming industry has come in such a short period of time.

Nintendojo
A better-than-average game for kids, and one that will keep them on their mental toes, to boot.

NintendoWorldReport
Atomic Betty is quite short, clocking in at just under two hours, with absolutely no replay value. It features a password save, which is quite simply inexcusable.

The quick changing of gameplay and many minigames should be highly entertaining for a young kid, and the simple puzzles are easy to complete, though the controls can be frustrating. But if you're looking for a quality platformer or puzzler, look elsewhere.

This may be a good title for younger players familiar with the cartoon. It has some variety, the levels are short and the atmosphere is light.

The game looks good, although the sound is somewhat limited. The story is told through bright little static images lifted straight from the show.

N-Insanity
It will certainly entertain the younger crowd, and probably fans of the show as well, but if you don’t fit into those categories, I would probably look for my GBA fix somewhere else.

Worth Playing
Offering zero replayability and little incentive to complete even a first run-through, Atomic Betty has the potential to entertain only those youngest of gamers who are still easily dazzled by controlling familiar characters on a tiny screen.

Nintendophiles
Simply put, there's just not much substance. Almost everything there is to experience can be found in the first couple of levels, and what little is added to the game later on certainly doesn't make it worth a play-through, much less a purchase.
