NTSC-uk
The game goes all out to impress on the graphics and sound fronts, vastly improving upon the functional graphics of the PS2 original...The gaming equivalent of an opium den. Abandon yourself to it, because you aren’t coming out for some time.

Forget the disappointing original - this is superior in every respect...While a more lasting design would have been preferable to the condensed lifespan, the adrenaline fix is more than enough compensation. [May 2004, p.110]

Fighter17 gave it an 8:
I don't know how the buzz system work, but I know a good shoot 'em up when I see one.

Rosco L. gave it a 10:
Excellent game, superior to ikaruga and then some. The fact that one unlocks more boards and bosses for doing well is an incentive to play over and over...

Adrian Cartman gave it a 9:
Excellent but so short.

Afrocoxy .. gave it an 8:
This game kicks butt and then some, graphics far superior from the ps2 medium unit and revision orignals. The game is a bit short few more stages would of been nice.

[Anonymous] gave it a 10:
Bleeding awesome. A bit of an Ikaruga feel, while having blistering amounts of bullets to buzz. Excellent game.
