A series of seemingly unrelated events are taking place on the mean streets of Gotham City. Rival warlords and their gangs of thugs do battle in a series of ongoing turf wars. GCPD Commissioner James Gordon goes missing. And Arkham Asylum, the part-time home to Gotham's most dangerous criminals goes into lockdown - no one in, and no one out! It's up to you to guide the Dark Knight as he works hard to piece together clue after clue and get to the bottom of Gotham's problems. You'll have all of Batman's resources at your disposal, including a fully functional Utility Belt, help from allies such as Oracle, and a wide variety of stealthy moves and combat techniques. The gameplay here sucks. It is heinous, hideous, and despicable. The game's presentation, though, does shine through and makes the game bearable.

Graphics and sound quality were especially impressive, but its gameplay flaws destroyed any possible greatness it might have had.

NintendoWorldReport
The game’s presentation is nothing less than excellent, and its graphics and sound are great too. On the other hand, the control and camera are awful, and the gameplay often fails to deliver on its lofty intentions.

Nintendo Power
The story, cinema scenes and rendered graphics are in keeping with the Batman franchise, but the game suffers greatly from its difficult control scheme. [Apr 2003, p.134]

If you're able to survive the first batcable swinging level with any hair left in your head and are then able to experience the first combat level of the game for yourself, then you will truly understand the pain involved in playing this game.

Game Over Online
A stagnant pond full of crap-sucking carp that’ll have you reeling in one piece of garbage after another. The gameplay is excruciatingly unresponsive, the graphics are generic – quite simply, there is no possible excuse to buy this game, even if you consider yourself a Batman fan of the highest degree.

All Game Guide
If players can overcome the gloomy graphics, irritating camera, and puzzling gadgets, they can look forward to swinging from rooftop to rooftop, punching dozens of enemies using two moves over and over again, ducking behind walls like "Metal Gear Solid," and even taking to the skies in an awkward controlling Batglider.

Stay away from Batman: Dark Tomorrow like it was a greatest hits CD of Christina Aguilera songs performed on an water-swollen oboe.

GameSpot
When you combine the stiff gameplay, muddy graphics, and clunky movement in the game's levels, Batman: Dark Tomorrow ends up feeling like it was thrown together with half-finished components.

A disaster. It's a mile-long train wreck in Gotham City's dirtiest and most rat-infested train yard.

The action that unfolds is so incomprehensible and littered with bugs tht you can't help but wonder if your GameCube or television is on the fritz. [May 2003, p.87]

You'll find it almost unplayable thanks to both the worst camera and control in the history of video gaming.

OH...MY...GOD. Kemco, what in the hell did Batman ever do to you for him to recieve this absolute atrocity of a game??? And what really, REALLY sucks is that we FINALLY get a Batman game that isnt based on any of the cartoon series or movies (a nice change of pace) but an actual COMIC BASED game. Here you have a Batman game that has fantastic production value (after seeing the intro you get really hyped to play, the story line was REALLY GOOD and would have done the Batman comic proud, and it had TONS of villians from the most famous to the most totally obscure) and what did Kemco do? COMPLETELY BOTCHED THE GAME. People, i'm not joking when i say that gameplay is broken from top to bottom. And the sole reason for this is due to the WORST camera views/changes in ALL of the video games that i have EVER played. I really CANNOT stress that enough. WORST..CAMERA..EVER. It LITTERALY changes the view every 2-3 seconds and when it does, your control set up completely changes due to the view that the camera gives you. So when your playing it you have to deal with the camera spazzing out consistantly while at the same time dealing with the ever changing controls due to the camera changing ALL THE TIME. And i wont lie, i beat the game, yes folks that not a typo, I BEAT THE GAME, but only out of my mad sense of loyalty to Batman. Otherwise, do everything in your power to avod this game. Talk about a huge letdown.

"Holy pile of crap Batman"

Catwoman Kyle gave it a 1:
This game is harder than trying to bury a turd in a box of wet kitty litter, I'd rather cough up a hairball than play this horrible game, call Bob Barker whoever made this game needs to be spayed and neutered.

XISMZERO gave it a 2:
This entire package contends for worst game ever - it's literally unplayable. It's only saving grace is the London Philharmonic sountrack and the decent cinematics.

Devon N. gave it a 1:
This game is the biggest POS!! Horrible graphics, horrible control, I mean, do I really need to list everything horrible about this game. This game flat out sucks. Stay away.
